In 2013, the Department of Labor stated there were 2.3 million unfilled advanced manufacturing jobs, expected to rise to over 3.5 million through the next five years.

Now it is 2019 and the former apprentices who had OJT (on-the-job-training) under the expertise of retiring skilled workers leaveing no one left to take their place. This silver tsunami grows older, and shrinks smaller in number each year, and we have no training pipeline at a scale sufficient to fill the labor shortage. Furthermore, such a hole in our national infrastructure leaves out the critical necessary 5% minimum that is required for innovation or R&D that helps keep our competitive edge and industrial strength.

Junto Studios mission looks to reverse this trend.

Example: Recent Direct Small Contract Opportunities

Junto Studios receives DIBBS solicitations based on its profile, NAICS codes and other criteria. Once we are fully equipped and operational we will be able to readily respond to job shop requests and small batch runs like these for custom parts or other projects. Of particular attention is drawn to the “Special Note” at the bottom of the screw shoulder request – its listed as being for fast evaluation and award. That’s excellent for small biz like ours.

The government publishes over 2,000 new solicitations every day and struggles to get bids. If one is of interest, we must submit a bid directly to the federal government using their free bid board system. Their requests usually include all of the links needed in order to bid as well as a link to search through additional opportunities posted.
